There are several features of this game that would make you think you're watching the movie instead of playing the game. The third-person views make it easier to see what you're doing while battling opponents. All of the characters from the movie are available to play with. The game does feature a lot of action, but the transformer that you control will run throughout most of the game. Your goal is to avoid the obstacles that get in the way and to battle against the Decepticons.

In Transformers: Age of Extinction, you can tip the device so that the character will run from one side to the other. There is a map in the corner of the screen to show your progress and to give you an idea as to where the Decepticons are located. Shoot the enemy from long distances, or you can go with hand-to-hand battle when you get to a point where you're too close to the enemy to shoot from far away. If you turn yourself into a vehicle, you can quickly get away from the enemy behind you.
